The Myrthengasse is close to Spittelberg, Volkstheater and Museumsquartier. It's located in the middle of the artists´ quarter in the 7th district. Named (1862) like the shrub Myrthe, whose flowers were traditionally used for the bridal crown, just in the 19th century was the Mythengasse getting wider; a row of houses in this period are still preserved.
